    Glock 23 Double Fired

Installed 3.5 connector and steel guide rod, it double fired three times within one ten round magazine.
    Anyone had the same experience?
Thinking about installing the original connector back and try shooting it again.
When I rack the slide back, notice the firing pin did not reset at times.
    Anybody know the cause?

Have you taken out the firing pin block and reinstall with the firing pin block spring squished?

I would detail strip & clean the upper.

What brand connector, and did you polish anything (25 cent).
If nothing, faulty connector goes in the trash.

Thanks for the info everybody. I have striped and cleaned the upper, will install the factory connector back into the receiver later and try shooting it again. Update later this evening.

I've had a 3.5lb connector in my G23 for the last 8 years and I've never had any issues. Keep us posted on if the connector is the culprit.

You need to check your installation again to ensure that the striker resets every time the slide is racked. The parts sound like they are out of alignment. Once you get that fixed, try this and let me know how it goes - when you are at the range, pull back the trigger deliberately and keep it held back until the gun cycles completely. I believe that with a lighter trigger pull, if you pull the trigger lightly with your finger, the recoil of the gun actually causes your finger to bounce, creating the doubling effect. Try consciously pulling the trigger all the way back towards the frame / grip, see if that eliminates the doubling.

My buddy had the same thing happen to a Glock 23. The difference was my connector was a solid one, and his was a slotted Ghost connector. He put everything back to stock. Mine worked ok. I guess if that replacement connector Quality is off by a small amount, then it won't work properly.

I'm guessing the little tab on the connector that gets bumped by the slide to reset the trigger is out of spec- barely bumping and disconnecting the trigger most of the time, but failing some of the time (doubles).

                        Replace the part.

Thanks Calguners, didn't make it to the range yesterday, will go today and make sure the pistol is working properly with the factory glock parts.

ok, just got back from test shooting the Glock 23, the problem was the Ghost 3.5 connector. It shoots fine with the factory one. Thanks for all the input!
