Reno Big Show - Bus ride?

The Reno Big show is March 28-30. I was planning to go, but wondered if others from the bay area would want to go up on Saturday morning and return either late Sat night or Sunday afternoon. Well, I got the idea of chartering a bus and bringing about 40 people up to Reno and back. The advantage of chartering a bus is not having to drive and being able to relax.
Well, since it's a charter, the price will depend on the miles traveled, and an
overnight fee, but with the costs split between 30-40 people, it can be cheaper than driving. They even have 36-passenger busses.

Details on the route and pickup points can be worked out if enough people are willing to chip in to rent a bus.
    Anyone interested?
Does everyone want to stay overnight in Reno or just come back on the same day?

Edit: I was thinking about a route that starts on the penninsula like San Mateo, crosses over the bridge to
Hayward, then east to Manteca, then north to Sacramento, then onto Reno.

I would be interested in this. I am up in Mendocino County so figure out the route and I'll see what works for me.

          Hmmmm interesting.

I think I'd probably want to stay up there overnight and come back down in the morning.

Also, I don't actually foresee having 36 calgunners to fill a bus, but maybe 20 or so.

          Ballpark on price?

One question. Would the charter company feel about bring long guns or ammo back on the bus if any purchases were made? -g

Well,I got a quote for a charter bus. It's $1850 for a 49-passenger bus, plus tip for the driver, plus a hotel room for the driver since he's staying overnight with the bus in Reno. I think it's going to be cheaper to just drive myself than charter a bus, especially if there's only 20-30 people willing to split the cost.
              Sorry for the hair-brained idea.

49 makes about $40 a head, I say that's definitely worth it; it would cost that much for me to drive up in gas, easily.

25 is more like $80 a head, that's not so slam-dunk. What are our options for a smaller bus?

                Maybe rent a van?

You will not be able to get enough people to actually commit to a time and place to meet and get money ahead of time, etc. Just start a carpool and people can split gas. Don't make things so complicated.
