Boyd's has a very good selection and the prices seem really good too. I was looking for a thumbhole stock and what I really like is about $75 more for similar stocks from other manufacturers. I got my sights set on this one:

The beauty about 10/22 is that there are gazillion stocks to choose from among just as many other accessories for that gun

Yeah it's symmetrical. Feels weird in my left hand of course, but it works either way.

For pricey cosmetics, I'd get one of these:

I am probably going with a black pistol-gripped tacticool(est) stock in the next year.Comment

FWIW, I put an M1 carbine stock: http://www.eabco.com/m1_carbine_ruger_1022_tribute.htm on my 10/22 with GI style aperture sights. The longer sight radius of the sights and their adjustability are a real plus over the factory issue. I am more accurate with it and that's with old eyes! Plus it shoulders beautifully and it has fooled more than a few old timers at the range. And it only costs a fraction (4 cents vs 50 cents) as much so its an economical trainerComment
