Vector AK any good?

I originally bought an AZEX and it turned out to be the biggest POS I have ever owned ( feeding problems,rivets breaking off , goes full auto out of nowhere) had it worked on 3 times, even the gun smith said this is a POS
anyways the shop I got it from is saying that I can trade it for a Vector.

Anyone have any feed back?

vector aks are real good quality rifles but I will always say this is build your own. The quality of the rifle you build will depend on you plus you get the satisfaction of building it. I get more satisfaction building the ak than the ar because the extra time I put into it. thats just me.

Really? Everyone talks up the AZEX and from what I've seen, they are build very well. Mine has never had trouble to ANY degree. My nicest AKs are an Arsenal Inc, a VEPR, and a Hungarian, but the AZEX is a close parallel to the Hungarian.

Knowing what we know about AZEX's attitude about CA, obviously you did not get it direct from AZEX - that's nothing new. But if that's the case, did you buy it new or used? Are you sure AZEX actually built it and it wasn't someone else building something on one of their rifles maybe dismantled and using one of their AZEX marked receivers (from DCI/Global)? This is the first I've heard of any AZEX having quality, reliability and/or feed issues. (However, it's not the first that I've heard of AZEX customer service being difficult with CA).

As far as the Vector AK goes, I've only heard good things about it from dealers; so no real valid assessments or verifiable honest feedback.

Vektor AKs are well made rifles! Used to have one when I was stationed
in Salt Lake City and it didn't give me any problems. If you could get
one, get it! It has a nice finish and a very nice trigger to it and came
w/ the underfolder.

This is why some gunsmiths won't touch certain guns, because if the gun still fails afterward, their name gets tainted by association, even though it was crap before it went to the smith.]

While Derrick at AzEx Arms isn't to well-loved here for his CA bashing (and was kicked off Calguns) I've not heard one bad thing about his guns except from you.

Vector AKs too have an overall good rep. However, use extreme caution with Vector as sometimes they may have used Arsenal SLG or SLR receivers (or flats, unsure) and then were rebranded by Vector. As you may know, Arsenal "SLG (all)" and "SLR (all)" are 'listed' AWs on the Kasler list of AR/AK idenfied 'series' members. While you may have a legal defense here if you had a Vector-Arsenal SLGnnn/SLR, it's grief that you don't want. Make sure the FFL you have importing it for you has verified before it enters the state that it doesn't have the Arsenal markings coated over (but still faintly visible).

Vector itself may even know what serial # ranges of their guns use the Arsenal SLG/SLR flats and you could check with them for a given serial#. (I'd get it in writing if any doubt.)

Yeah I had to send in to AZex and got it back worse then when I sent it.

When I first had it FFL over here I could not help my self and laugh with joy it has the best finish I have ever seen on an AK.

i heard good things about the Vector AK's. I'd grab one in a heart beat!!!

I love my black poly Vector! It is pictured with a JJperl bullet button, 10/30 mag and AK74 style brake (feels like about 50% recoil reduction from the brake). I have had it a month and put about 400 rounds through it. The only issue that I have noticed is that the black park finish is wearing off in a few areas. Odd, since I am careful not to handle it roughly. Otherwise, very happy.
