    Buying guns online

I have a cousin who wants to buy a gun online and he wants to know the whole process on how to do it. I don't buy online so I couldn't give him any valid info. He doesn't have a HSC card, but he's a former Marine and now in the reserves. Can you guys give me the info on how this is done? I know he has to pay tax to the CA FFL dealer.

I usually make sure the seller will ship to CA, then I pay, Call my dealer to have him send his FFL info to the seller. And thats it.

I just ordered a new lower on Fri. All I did was place the order online and then went to my gun dealer to have him send his info. Got an email this morning telling me my lower has shipped.

Seconded on making sure they will ship to Cali first (just made that mistake, not again). I tried ordering a stripped lower from Budsgunshop, and it wasn't til afterwards that they tell me they won't ship to Cali because "all AR's require bullet buttons, no exceptions." They were happy to charge me even though they refuse to ship it (waiting on the refund). Brownell's is happy to ship it though.

Like mentioned make sure that the out of state ffl will ship to California, of course the gun had to be on the list as well. Also make sure they actually do have the gun your inquiring about. I went through all the red tape once only to have the out of sate ffl call be back and say whoops we just sold that yesterday.
