    sacramento ffl

Ok first off i have sent money to a friend in sac. for a OLL that he has.the problem is he said that he called around sac to some shop's and the cost to ship to my ffl would be 65$ that's half what i payed for the oll . my ffl thinks it's illegal for someone to ship a gun to an ffl with out using a ffl.so i called the DOJ and asked them thay said that it was legal to do so.With that i called some shop's in sac and thay said that it was ilegal to.that got me thinking how many shops in my area think that it is ilegal to ship a gun to a ffl without useing a ffl .all 5 said (no we have to have a ffl number to log in ower books to except a gun) is there any one that knows the truth to this thanks?

It is legal for a Non-FFL to ship to an FFL for a transfer.

Some FFL's will not accept firearm transfers from Non-FFL's.

    Why? I can only speculate.

Stop expecting the FFLs to know all the laws. Its sad, but a lot of gun shop owners are as misinformed as the public.
