www.gunaccessories.us also requires a signature on ALL orders. Rainier arms usually requires a signature on uppers, but it can be waived. And ammo orders usually require a sig. A lot of places actually require you to sign for your package and they have it posted on their Shipping FAQs usually. I can think of worse reasons to not shop at BCM, like they're overpriced.

I don't see a problem. Sign the damn slip and pick it up. Man you want some cheese with that whine? Good god! I have now seen it all!

But if I sell stuff I always require signature. It covers my butt when the buyer says it was not delivered when the signature is his own. To much fraud recently it's not even funny. Or there are time I want a signature required option and they don't and leave the 900 buck scope sitting on the porch all day! Now that pisses me off!

You kind of remind me of the guy a little while back that was pissed I charge $10 for shipping and handling, yet still submitted the order and was complaining about the $10 charge that he clearly agreed to by submitting the order. Then when he received the package, he saw it only cost $7 to ship on the USPS label and he was pissed I kept that extra $3. LOL.

I can see the other side of this thread.

Company shipped my package with no signature required and it got stolen. I'm never buying from them again.

                    They can't win for trying.

Tis the season for packages to be stolen after they are dropped off at a front door. They are just protecting themselves from having packages stolen and then in turn having to replace the stolen items. Who's to say that some out there would receive the package and then call the company and tell them that they never received the package?
Either get off your rear and pick it up at the post office, or send it back and purchase your item elsewhere. As for giving BCM a black eye over this policy....well it isn't going to work out very well for you.

                        ^^This!

Lots of "elves" out strolling the front porches this time of year for free gifts while those people are at work trying to earn money to pay for those packages.

                        +1 for BCM!

                            Shipping

OP, I have to agree with you that receiving a package "signature required" is a major pain in the ***

Can't comment on Bravo Company as I've never bought from them.

Where I live, signature required generally adds three days to the shipment.

Asking the shipper to just mark it to be left at the door will often work. I live in a nice neighborhood and in over 10 years have never had a problem.

For those items where I have no choice, I ask them to ship UPS. If you sign up for UPS's my choice thingy, you can go in and re-route it to hold for pickup. This will generally make it available for pickup on the same day it was to be initially delivered.

Us C&R/03 FFL guys routinely do this as we want to avoid the back and forth where they load it on the truck, then take it off again every day until it finally get' s held for pick up.

This helps avoid accidental damage during the back and forth.

Good luck and just ignore the flaming I'm sure you're receiving from the kids here. I didn't read the thread. Too long and I really don't care.

I'm kinda pissed off now. I had three cases of ammo sitting
on the porch in the dark when I got home tonight!
I was hoping to sign for it.

Seriously, can you blame them? They probably get people claiming their package never arrived all the time... businesses have to protect themselves from these idiots.

Leave a note asking the package to be left in your mailbox or on the porch (make sure you ask them to take the note down). The UPS guy always leaves stuff for me that I was supposed to sign.
