    10 22 Ruger Takedown...

Seems like an awsome rifle. Does anyone have one, have you had any issues with it? My concern is this: Since the weapon comes apart, will that hurt my accuracy or make the gun loose and wobbly later down the road? Your suggestions please. Also, what is the best .22 ammo for self defense and the best or decent ammo for practice? Thanks Calguns family....last question...who the hell has got the best deal on the 10 22 takedown?

I paid $294 for mine. I am very happy with it, it has been accurate every time I put it together, and it is scoped. It is easy to shoot.

I have a few different brands of "good" hollow point 22, and an ammo can stuffed full of the bulk 525 packs. Its plenty accurate for me in the type of shooting I do with it (offhand).

$294 OTD? If so, that's a great deal. I got mine from Big 5 when they had the e-team coupons. It was on sale but was a few bucks cheaper paying regular price minus the discount.

I've put Remington Golden Bullet bulk & Federal bulk through it without any issues. Although, between the two, they have different POI. Out of the box the sights were slightly off. I did the idiot thing & hit the rear sight over with a skrewdriver & hammer putting some light scratches on the bbl. Oh well, this ones a keeper anyway. I was sighting in at 25 yards with irons only, offhand. Of the two, the Federal groups better. Need to stretch it out to 50 yards next outing & bench it to see what kind of groups I can get. Get it, you won't be disappointed.
Hope for the best, expect the worse... Does that make me an optimistic pessimist?!

That was not OTD, it ended up being around $340 total.

If you are near a Turner's, they are on sale for $299.99, for a few more weeks. But don't think they have any in stock. I bought one on friday and was told today not to expect it until the end of December.
