Ideas and howto's for safe wall accessories...

I would like to utilize the back of my safe door with holsters and pouches.... I have looked at a few...bought one from Turners that is next to useless (going back) and it occurs to me that someone may have found a good one or fabricated something at home.....

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

I use small wood spools and attach them to my door and arrange them to hold my handguns on the back of the door. On a previous safe I put a piece of galvanized sheet metal between the cushioned door liner and the door. This gave a great anchor for the screws. On the current safe I did not put the sheet metal on but used anchors to help the screws hold better. When hanging stuff on the door you do have to be aware of what stuff is inside as it can add a couple inches to the door thickness and the guns can hit shelves, etc.

You can get a molle piece of a custom dimension that attaches to the inside of the door and then use molle pieces. A little pricey in my opinion, but a cool way none the less.

If you wanted to store a lot of magazines, those over the door closet shoe organizers almost every woman owns might work. They have hooks to grab the top of a door, you'd need to cut that off, and screw it on the interior wall.

Cheap nylon pistol holsters would be easy to mount. Velcro would work well.

I use tie racks from Home Depot on my door for magazines, not the staggered peg ones, the single peg. Spray painted them black enamel. have a ton of mags and really aided in making room and organizing them. Can hang two deep. Really cleaned things up.
Added even more, probably close to 200 now.

            That was a good idea

                    I gotta try that.

The real reason is that I just didn't want a mess in my safe.

I really like the idea that I can move my handguns in and out of the safe without having to remove them from their holsters, and all the holsters have their place on the wall.
