    Me: 1 GF: 0

I was in Tahoe a few weeks back, up at my GF's parents cabin (free). My GF makes a comment as we are coming back like "I don't know why you brought that big huge gun with you (Mossberg 500 8shot, with Slugs and Buck Shot), not like you were going to need it". I told her that it was in case a Bear came out of hibernation and stumbled in the house or started tearing up my truck. She just rolled her eyes at me.

Flash forward to today. I'm working out with her brother and he mentions that they were up in Tahoe at the place last weekend. He says that they cleared all of the snow off the back deck when they got there. When they woke up the next morning a BEAR came out of hibernation. I guess it was roaming around the cabin all night and then settled down there.

I told her what her brother said and she replied "Well you still wouldn't have needed that big huge gun, you brought the little one too". Yeah I'm going to be able to take down a 800lb bear with a Sig 226

    Haha good one.

My parents have a house in tahoe as well and Ive seen a bear walking around the street more than once. I have pictures of it chilling on our back porch somewhere.

Did you remind her that bears are godless marauding killing machines that hate America?

She's smart. Use the smaller gun for the bigger animal. Makes perfect sense.

Well ya know she is right.

All you need in a SIG P226 chambered in 9mm.

If you happen to posses a box of High Explosive cartridges.

Buttttttttttt in case you dont then the Shotgun with 8 round capacity is the better weapon.

Everytime someone mentions that, I can't help but think about that one Bugs Bunny episode where the bull swallows a box of bullets with "exploding tips" but it explodes him instead.

You're going to need a pretty big gun.

                    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

My question is, why are you still dating this girl? Chicks with money are cool, but can you trust this chick not to file an RO on you should you break up just to rid you of your guns?

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day
