I'm gonna have to agree with this. Search all the threads and read, then ask specific questions so we can help. There is a ton of information on this board about 80% lowers, the legalities, the documentation or lack thereof, etc.

No, they are not considered a firearm and therefore no paperwork is needed on them.

Yes, and most stores also accept credit cards. Buy enough of them and I'm sure a clerk will help you carry them out to your car on a hand truck.

Yes, you can do these on a drill press using a bolt on jig. A lot of times, the jig also comes with a shopping list of tools to buy from Harbor Freight. The drill press method is ugly (on the inside) but it works just the same.

Its a lot of work to do. It sounds easy and for some it is, I myself have done a couple but for me it is more fun than anything. I wasent trying to save money like a lot of people think. And honestly If big brother really wanted to they could figure out with credit card purchases and such as well as posting on the public forums.... just sayin

Until any new laws come into play for a long gun registration, no one knows you have any rifle. Pistols are registered, rifles are not.

That rifle is on a form somewhere and the feds have a lot of those forms either from shops going out of business or ATF taking stuff they shouldn't. The 80% lower would take a lot more looking for CC transactions or email traffic and web postings about building them.
