    Good source for blanks?

Anyone know of good deal on blanks? I need some for 5.56/.223, .45, and 9mm.

I know that my AR's will need blank adapters in order to cycle properly. Do handguns need any type of modification to cycle? or are blanks on handguns not very common?(if handguns require mods to cycle blanks I'll pass)

Do blanks make more ware and tare on firearms or is it the same? I've heard they definitely run dirtier.

What do you need them for? Most blanks you see in movies are custom made for movie studios.

There are a few places that make them for sale also: http://www.keepshooting.com/223-5-56...erman-dag.html

Most recoil operated pistols won't cycle with a blank without modification (super light springs). Revolvers will work fine.

Be aware that a blank can kill at ~3-10 feet for pistol rounds, and longer for rifles. Also using blanks does not get around "no discharge" laws.

    Be safe...

Main movie blank suppliers are Swanson and perhaps Atlantic Wall. You will need to go to one of these for the pistol blanks. Swanson is more expensive.

Semi-auto pistols need mods to cycle correctly including a restrictor threaded in to a newly drilled and tapped barrel. Mods are generally specific to each gun, so what guns do you want to run blanks in?
