Suggestions for attached light for my handgun

    Hey Calguns!

Im needing suggestions for a light to attach to my

    Sig SP2022 .40 cal.

Looking for strictly home defense (so something for indoor and also out in the yard- typical tract home- not a farm with lots of property- just regular yard)

So im looking for something to "light up" the hallway or living room, etc. This will be used for a 2ndary light if my surefire handheld ever goes out.

Im not looking to spend anything more then $80 bucks- just bein real. What about those on Amazon? Nebo i think? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate. Thanks.

Streamlight TLR-1 is a great light. Look around on amazon you might find one for 80$ or so. I've had the same light on my G23 throughout thousands of rounds. Even the top of the bezel is slightly burnt from all the muzzle flashes hitting it. Takes a lickin and keeps on ticking.

honestly, my "sort by lowest price" ebay light is just as bright as my brothers $140 light. sure, mine doesn't have a "blink" setting, but i don't care. mine clips on to the picatinny rail on my gun and its secure. i've taken it to the range a few times when i was just too lazy to take it off and it didn't pop off or budge at all.

people that want to spend $100+ on a light for their HD gun can do so, mine was $30 and does the job.

      I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.

Streamlight makes good lights that are inexpensive.

        For example the Streamlight TLR-3.
90 lumens, 1.5 hour constant on run time, uses one CR2 battery, shock proof, water proof, limited lifetime warranty.

        Streamlight TLR-3 for $69.99 + tax/shipping.

Spend the money once and buy a quality light that you can bet your life on, if you want to use it one HD gun. Streamlight and Surefire are at the top of most people's list.

I'm sorry, but I cringe whenever I see these POS Chinese lights that are designed for air soft, but are marketed to gun owners. They are definitely not brighter than a TLR-1, and are maybe 100 lumens at best. But the main problem is that they are recoil sensitive and will die on you when you start shooting the gun with it over time. Lots of posts about that all over the web.

I've had 3 different labeled lights like that (NcStar is the major label) and they are all the same, all manufactured at the same place in china. All 3 also went out on me with less than 50 rounds through a 9mm... 2 I didn't pay for so that was fine. Sure, some people say it works for them, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Buy a light that is proven to withstand hundreds & thousands of rounds shot with the light on the gun.

I agree, it's worth it to spend a little more in order to have confidence in something that could help save your life. It looks like Streamlight is your best bet.

As an aside, OP, how do you like your Sig? The price has always been a draw.
