Which one would you get next and why? AK or Glock?

Deciding between a Glock 17 or 19, or an Arsenal SGL 21

Here is my current list of guns:
    • Stag AR-15
    • Sig P226 - .40 S&W
    • Wilson Combat CQB - .45 ACP
    • Winchester 1300 Home Defender
    • Laurona Eibar O/U 12 gauge (hunting and skeet)
    • Mosin 91/30 - Hex

What would be your next purchase and why?

Glock would be my choice... I still don't own a plastic/polymer/???? Whatever it is you call em without getting hard core Glock fans upset.. I need me a beater and I hear Glocks can take a pretty good beating.. I'm guessing Christmas time!!

I vote Glock because the 19 is going to be my next purchase since I don't own a 9mm yet, and I love my other two "combat tupperwear" guns (23 and 27).

You have 2 rifles. You don't state which P226. If it's a .40, you should get the Glock 17 imo. Winter is here, rain, shoot more indoors. The G17 is a nice gun, you don't have a 9mm and 9mm is less expensive than .40 or .45. Or get a G22, 125.00 more for a conversion barrel and in essence you have a G22 and a G17. What's not to love?
          You're welcome.

Personally, I'd go with a AK variant or another AR because we may have another AW ban on the table in the future. Glocks are pretty easy to get and I wish I bought more AW's back before the last ban, but I bought what I could afford as a 19 year old working parttime could.

Glock's are a great choice for a reliable gun at a reasonable price. I also like the fact that I could have multiple calibers for a single gun by swapping out the barrels.

I'd get the AK, I already own a G17 (Actually G10 here in Cali). but if i didn't have the Glock then I would get the Glock, since I always take it to the range with me and shoot a few hundred rounds. Whenever I go camping, the G17 is one I take with me. Reliable, cheap ammo (unless you get special defense ammo), and easy to shoot.

I'd also get the AK first for the reason stated above - much more likely to get banned. You can get a Glock any time.

I wasn't really a fan of polymer, but since giving the beatdown to my uncles Benelli Nova, I've come to accept polymer as a valid substitute. When weight/weather are an issue, polymer is a good idea. If you don't yet have a lightweight pistol with cheap ammo, I suggest you get the G17 in 9mm.

But, on the other hand, like these guys have pointed out, the AK will be banned far before a Glock pistol, IMO. Also, a piston rifle might be a good choice since you already have a good DI rifle.

If you're having trouble deciding, I would say to sell the Sig or O/U and pick up both. I'm not much of a .40S&W fan if 9mm and .45ACP are both at my disposal.

I'd go AK cause they are more fun to shoot IMO.

This is from someone with multiple AK's (including an SGL-21) and multiple Glocks (including a G17C)

Glocks can be had anytime. In the current Political situation (the Feinsten and Yee folk) and the mandatory Rifle registration coming up, I personally would FOCUS on AK and AR Platform rifles.
