FMJ handgun rounds seem to get a pass if they penetrate and hit vitals. The HP/FMJ is over as far as I'm concerned. Expansion without penetration is as bad as a FMJ pass-through without vital disruption. Load your mags for what would be most likely.

Kind of sad comment about cops firing many rounds until perp is down. Let's extrapolate to a home defense situation for a law-abiding calgunner. 10-round mag. Confusion. Fast moving perps and bad lighting. Not a Gunsite junkie just a normal American trying to defend against Evil. With luck a round or two connects. Unless head or vital, the attack can still be pressed. The 10-round cap is a handicap greater than we acknowledge.

This thread caused a rifle to be purchased.

I put the G20 stoked with Hornady Critical Defense away for a Mossberg 930 as the primary House gun. Haven't decided on a load yet. Hornady 300gr HP or 3" 00 or 2&3/4" 00 and actually looking at some less-lethal garbage since usage at this loc is likely so stock the first two rounds with less-lethal, haven't decided yet. Mucho testing after ten days, huh.

Definetely studying the anatomical chart for fatal disruptions.
