    Shipping Ammo

I know this has been asked a lot and I've been doing a lot of searching, so just bare with me for this one frequently asked question.

I came across a few posts / sites that said that you needed to be certified for shipping ammo

However, I also see a lot of posts telling people to just write ORM-D in a rectangle on any side with "small arms, cartridges" written above it
Also from the above link I saw
Effective January 19, 2011, with the publication of the HM-215K final rule, the hazard class of ORM-D is being eliminated.
So does that mean you no longer need training and need simply write in orm-d?

Or if you still do need training, can someone point me to the correct link for the training materials, I can not seem to find it.

    thanks!

google orm-d. print a label or 3. No certification needed for shipping ammo...hazmat only applies to primers and/or powder and that wasn't your question.

usps won't take it, ups has no problem.

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

Read your link. If you need "training", you can do it yourself. ORM-D is all you need. I use these, taped on the box:

I understand that IF I need training I can do it myself, the question is DO I need training still or has that changed?

          DO I need training
Maybe, but you can ship without it. Try it. UPS.

The very best way to ship anything is to get an account online with UPS or USPS or Fedex and print a label, tape it to the box, and hand it to the counterperson. Not surprisingly, they love having you do their work for them, and will not say a word.

NO. Take it to ups. They'll handle the rest.
