Private Party Transfer of Handguns

Hello all,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just curious, what is needed to sell a handgun through an FFL in California, for example. state drivers license, any kind of paperwork? I am a new resident and don't have my California drivers license yet.

I believe all you'll need is an acceptable form of identification, not necessarily just a CA driver's license. Government issued ID or a CA identification card is okay. I've sold a few pistols with just my DL, no need for other forms or proof of ownership.

Did you report the handguns you own to the DOJ since you've moved here?
