    I have to rant

I may or may not have went to pick up my mc operator from its 10 day jail after work today. I get to the unnamed store, pick it up, and return home. I get a call from the store I bought it from and they insist that I return to the store and return my gun because today was only day 9, my paperwork was mismarked.

They are closed tomorrow and I have to wait until Monday to pick it up.

I was so furious at this point and so disappointed.

The store clerk was very sorry and gave me a glock range bag on the spot, and promised my a couple boxes of free ammo for the confusion.

I am still bummed, but a content costumer that will purchase from them more.

    Good day,
    -OD

I think the store handled it very well. They could have not been so cool about it. Blame CA lawmakers for the 10 day wait, which used to be 15 days BTW, not the store who is just following the stupid laws.

Lol, no, it was the stores fault and I believe they would have been the deep for it. Not the op. Actually it was the olive drab that was cool about it.

Sucks to get burned on pickup due to mistakes and a stupid law.

In my experience, I showed up to pickup my Beretta on the 10th on a Saturday afternoon. None of the store's regulars were there, save an old guy who wasn't actually an employee (but I guess the owners told him to babysit the shop). Took him almost an hour to find my gun, then it just so happened he did not know how to process the final paperwork. Wish they gave me something to make up for that wasted hour.

They might as well have closed for the day in that case.

I got you beat: went to pick up a p226 on 10th day. The dumbass employee FORGOT to submit the paper work to get the clock started. I was pissed. Got a bore snake out of it (after I pushed), but had to wait another 10 days. In these situations, they really have you by the balls. I will avoid this shop the next time around. Look on the bright side - you'll have a great Monday!

Free range bag and ammo? Shop there always! That's great customer service!

In fact, tell us the name of the shop, I'll be in that area next weekend (South Bay) and will go get some ammo from them.

The shop did things right, they apologized and you got some free swag.

Not to hijack your thread, but listen to this.

I had a gun shipped in from out of state a year ago. Arrived at the shop on the day it was to arrive, actually an hour after it arrived. To do the paperwork as I was going on vacation and the shop was closing for the holidays ( Thanksgiving ).

Long story short, they received the gun, threw it in the bottom of a safe, told me it hadn't arrived and to keep calling back. How am I supposed to call if they are going to be closed??? For the entire time I'm on vacation, I'm calling the seller who assured me he sent it, gave me shipping info, etc, but like I said, the shop is closed also.

My suppossedly 10 day wait turned into a 21 day nightmare. The jack azz behind the counter on day one didn't even apologize once during the entire ordeal. I'll never do business with this shop again.

The name of the shop? Diablo Valley Gunworks in Pleasant Hill. Yeah, I'll throw them under the bus!

Again, sorry for the hijacked OP, but at least you got an apology and some gear.

At least you got a free range bag and ammo! I think they handled it very well compared to other stores.

Sorry to hear about your experience. It seems like in any industry you find shops that you prefer over another. What I prefer is a store that takes there time to make me feel that my dollar is important to them. Yes, I'm a young shooter, but I'm well versed in safety and knowledgable in guns In general. Please don't treat me like I'm 12.

When I went to buy my truck last year, I went to the dealership and was looking at new colorados. A salesman comes up and asks my father what he can do for him. My dad says its my son you need to be talking to. The salesmen kept trying to get me to look at the used trucks with no luxuries at much lower prices.

When then ran my credit, they tried to get me into a truck twice the cost.

Once again... Im young not stupid
