    Camo Skin

    Greeting Gents & Ladies

This is my first post to this forum.

I'm interested in putting a camo water dip hydroskin (not sure of the correct term) onto a rifle and was wondering if you may be able to answer a few questions?

If you apply these water skins to barrel. Will they burn off at a certain temperature? Not planning to shoot a whole bunch of rounds at once. Just curious.

How tough are they? Do they hold up well or tear and scratch easily? If they tear easily can they be protected with clear duracoat?

    Any recommendations on any brands?

Any Do's and Don't when applying?

Anyone in California that does this professionally?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

interesting technology...might have to look into it myself. have you contacted a graphics company to ask them about wear/tear on firearms?

Protect yourself and your firearm by always asking your coatings expert for their FFL number, (Federal Firearms License), prior to shipping your firearm. HGI holds a FFL that allows us to receive, process, and ship firearms from both private individuals and OEM facilities. Some skins are slippery.... Not a problem on a long gun, not too good on a pistol

The dip should be designed for firearms

The barrel on dips is fine for slow speed shooting.

Verify what temperature the coating is rated or the warranty if concerned about your barrel
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

interesting Idea. Not sure how it would hold up on a firearm. If you do it make sure you show us some pix and let us know how it works
