I Bought Three Firearms This Year

My motto for the last decade was "just one per year".
I was talking to a guy at the range and he was pissed off at something our President said or did so he went out and bought another rifle. That will show our leader a thing or two.
I just got motivated this year, I bought a Springfield Service Grade M1 Garand from CMP, awesome.
Then I bought a Colt M4 with the stainless steel barrel and trigger job, awesome.
The last purchase was a Kimber Pro CDP 1911, awesome.
    And I got into re-loading.
I think part of my new addiction is the current gun climate in this country. I truly believe I may not have this right in 5-10 years. Who knows?
I sure do feel good about my new firearms though.
I only buy quality because they appreciate. Gold, Silver, Firearms and mutual funds. That's my new motto.

I've noticed lately that firearms prices are not sky rocketing up, nor are there really any short supply and huge demand on certain guns.

Therefore, I've decided that this election will not determine whether I buy more guns this year or not. In fact, I just bought 3 new guns in the past few weeks (still need to wake to DROS one of them in Dec, about 30 days from now), but that's because I saw what I liked and the price was right. Had nothing to do with the economy or any type of 'scare' from the government.

I'm sure most people are the same, where they'll go out and buy what they want and not be influenced by the economy or election.

I may have bought some, I may have not. If the missus asks, those have always been there.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Goal is to only buy one next year and get into reloading, lets see how it goes.

Get a C&R. Then you start talking about orders of six guns at a single time.

I have bought a lot this year...I mean a lot.
I don't trust what the government will do, especially in a state overwhelmingly dominated by liberals. This is a one party state. They have the Governor's office, the AG, and both houses of the legislature. The DNC does not want gun control on the news due to pro-gun swing states. But after the election, who the heck knows.
And just one more nut ball like in Aurora or Milwaukee, and the woods are full of them, and they will seize the opportunity. I'm willing to bet some of the Brady bunch pray for such a tragedy.
And if I'm wrong? heck, I just got some cool guns. Win-win

Good point. I can steal the thread because it is mine. I want to vote my conscience but they say a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for the President. Have you heard of electoral college? It seems the state goes to the incumbent democrat, year after year. I do not like the fact that I am in the no count section. Hey, I vote so I earned the right to complain.

Good point, I got my C&R and CoE in May so I am exempt from the 1/30 rule. I have used it a couple times without issue.

Bought more than I had planned due to coming across some unanticipated deals in the buy and sell section. Don't see myself getting much next year. Maybe my first revolver, CCW, and 1 more bolt action rifle.
