Stealth safe

Hmmmm, interesting. But, considering there are no locks and everything is accessible to the touch (if you know where to touch), I don't think I'd call it a "safe" as much as I would stealth storage. Clever for sure, but simple brute force would reveal a number of hiding places...as would tapping on "thick" woodwork to hear a more hollow sound. if it doesn't "look right" there is probably a good reason. Again, quite clever.

It's beautiful and it looks well designed, I just don't like the idea of haveing so much money (ie valuables/firearms) in wood furniture. One of these days I would like to get a nightstand or simple bookcase with one compartment for the bedside pistol.

Pretty cool but I don't know if I would want my whole arsenal in that thing, maybe a rifle, pistol and/or shotgun for quick access outside my safe. I would rather have the bulk in a heavy duty fire rated safe instead.

Hmmm ... nice design, but he is wrong about "no one ever suspecting." When I see a piece of furniture that is 4" thick where a 3/4" board would suffice, I have to wonder what is in the space created by the seemingly unnecessary width.

Not really. It's not as if smash and grab punks are scouring youtube, coming across this and going, "hell yeah! Next time we break into someone's place we're going to check out all of the shelves and hit the jackpot!"

My only gripe with this system is cost: the shelf in the youtube video goes for $3500; honestly, I'd rather have a fat safe for that amount of money...
