Can someone identify this spring for me?

I was cleaning my glock tonight and I ran across this spring about 2 inches long lying underneath the work bench. I've been detail stripping/cleaning the B/C and pistons for the past three nights and I can't really figure out which gun this spring belongs to. These are the guns I cleaned so far:

    DI AR15
    LMT MRP piston
    Scar 16S
    M1A scout
    Benelli M4
    SA MC Operator

I don't recall removing any spring this size while taking apart the pistons and the bolt carrier groups. Any help is appreciated

    thanks

It's a barrel shroud spring; you know that "...shoulder thing that goes up."

I don't think it's the buffer retaining spring. This spring is almost 2 inches long and I didn't take any lower apart

Ok, but guessing isnt how you solve this puzzle... how about you go look at each rifle / firearm and function check them. Open the Ar15s up and look at the buffer retainer detents...if one is missing... you launched it and the spring in what is left over.

It would hep if you put something recognizable up next to it. 2" doesn't say much. Try putting a 9mm round, a quarter or a dollar bill. Or better yet, put a caliper on it and give an exact measurement. OD, ID, OL.

Looks like a Glock striker spring to me.
