    Getting my cleaning kit organized...

So after years of having my cleaning supplies just stuffed carelessly into a Glock case, I decided to get organized. I picked up a tackle box from Big 5 which seems to be relatively sturdy. It needed a little modification to fit the cleaning rods, but otherwise it's working well and has room for expansion. The only downside is that it won't fit my big bottle of Hoppes, so I'll have to get more small bottles and keep refilling them.

What do you guys use to keep your cleaning kits organized?

I use a tacklebox as well. Works great!

I got cleaning stuff all over the place right now. Don't know how much time I lose going "now where the heck did I leave the 9mm bore snake?"

I've been using a toolbox like this, with a removable tray. The tray keeps all the little supplies organized and the main box lets me hold bigger items (like full-size bottles of Hoppe's)

i use a large, older UMCO (4080U) fishing tackle box for storage of cleaning supplies, various tools and other things i deem to be appropriate for my cleaning kit. within the box are numerous (8) foldout trays with many (76) divided, multi sized/shaped compartments. on the bottom of box is storage room for large items.

the storage box is the one item that either encourages or discourages a cleaning kit that is personalized to the user's own wants and needs.

i also have a smaller, yet still good sized older aluminum UMCO tackle box with foldout trays that serves well for additional storage needs. i have a very small setup for bob, as well.

congrats on choosing to go a personalized route for storage of your cleaning items. if you ever grow out of your current box, i suggest you take a look on ebay for "fishing tackle box" or "UMCO." you'll find a great selection of boxes that more than suffice for your basic storage needs, including space for your large bottle of Hoppes. if you should purchase a used tackle box that in a past life was used for it's intended purpose... cleaning agents and correct application of baking soda can neutralize/eliminate the fish smell that may accompany your box when received.
