...at least at my store. I printed up 50 copies (in color) and laminated them. They've been on my counter since their inception. I've been selling them for a nominal fee ($2) to cover my expenses and I've run out completely!! Everyone that looks at it loves it. The capper was I had two local detectives....a sergeant and a lieutenant....in the store today and they eyed the colorful flowchart. We got to talking about them and they ended up buying FOUR to educate the other detectives and patrol officers about AWs. When I asked them how much training they received on this subject, they both looked at each other and back to me and said NONE!!! They were very appreciative to have a training tool to educate the beat cops and detectives with. So, if we've caused just one person to not get arrested or have their property confiscated, then it was worth the trouble. Just wanted to let the original author and all those that were involved in updating and getting this out that their efforts were appreciated.

not a bad idea, perhaps i will print and laminate a bunch of them up and start mailing sets to larger P.D.s with a return address of the Brady center LOL -
I'm glad the chart is working out just fine as intended. I'm going to fix some very minor grammar issues, that would be hardly noticed. I was just waiting for more feedback, before posting the next version 1C.
I'm going to print some out at Kinkos, for the SOCAL build party.Comment

I went over to Fort Courage to DROS a new rifle this afternoon and ended up picking up a couple of the lamented flow charts... along with a second rifle that I wasn't expecting to be buying that day...

At first I just grabbed one sheet, then decided to grab a second in case I ran into someone who could use it. Turns out, later that very night, a friend came over with a buddy. We got talking guns
and it turned out the buddy had just moved to CA from Utah and was trying to figure out which of his toys he could bring with him and which he'd have to leave in Utah.
As I started to talk to him about CA laws, his eyes started to glaze over a bit and it was then I remembered that I had the flow-charts. By the time they left, his eyes weren't too glazed but he was still shaking his head at CA laws. At least he now has something straight forward he can refer to to help sort things out.If you know how many guns you have... you don't have enough guns.
People need to remember that the same guys who wrote the 1st Amendment, also wrote the 2nd Amendment... and for the same exact reasons.Comment

I agree I would just print them in black for the Local PD and Sheriffs Dept.
But I might deviate from this rule when I present one to the Paradise Police Chief.
I have also been passing them out to the local Gun Shops in Butte County.
But the color cartridges are getting expensive.
Would it be cheaper to get Kinko's to print them or copy them in color rather then printing them from the color printer?
I think I answered my own question I know a guy that runs a print shop in town.
Maybe we should pool our funds and buy a full page ad in one of the larger papers like the Sacramento Bee or SF Chronicle ?
BTW Kudos to you and your group that put this item together REDHORSE.
Thus far it has received nothing but positive feedback from everyone I have presented it to.

It looks great...
If your going to pass them out to LE types, I would use the color. It makes a lot of difference and you only get one first impression. Black and white would work, but it doesn't catch eye in the same manner.
Black and white for the range bag/butt stock...sigpicComment

Those were our thoughts exactly. Color catches the eye so much better. And for education purposes, you can't make a second first impression. It looks great...

Guys
Kinko's has a deal at the moment that I plan to take advantage of.
.49 cents per color copy.
The next break is 2500 and its .39 cents per copy.
I was told that this was at all Kinko's.Comment
