    Firearm Insurance

    Hi All,

Just wanted to see if anyone out there have insurance for all their guns. If so, which one do you have? I have been thinking hard about it now that my collection is building up. I have heard some things about the NRA ArmsCare program but wanted to hear from you guys on what you use or wont use.

NRA insurance was a lot cheaper than what my auto/home/etc insurance company wanted.

I have NRA Insurance. Never heard any negative reports about it.

Is there an upper limit to the NRA coverage?

I think the limit is $1,000,000.

If thats too low, where do you live? Need a new friend?

Ha! No I just had something in the back of my mind that the NRA insurance only covered $1000 of firearms and that's not very much.
Ok, so good to know. I'll look into it. I recently just re-joined the NRA, might as well see what they can do.

The $1000 limit is free with your membership. If you want to have more than $1000 coverage, you have to pay for it. It is still cheaper than throught the insurance company.

Definitely go with the NRA insurance program. On top of being the best value, you're also signing up for an NRA membership. A double plus in my books.

AAA has firearms insurance but my agent said don't worry about it that it is covered by normal property loss.

That may be true about AAA, but I suggest you keep copies of all your receipts in a safety deposit box, if God forbids, one day you may have to try to collect on those losses.

Guns are covered under your home insurance as long as you declare them. My home insurance covers all my personal property. Keep your receipts in case you have to make a claim.
