      dude, that really friggin' blows

At least the 10/22 is a pretty unique looking rifle, hopefully it will turn up somewhere and lead you to the rest.

Theft happened in Stockton, while I was at work in broad day light. No one saw a thing.

Thieves are the lowest form of life out there, except for liberal politicians, of course, but that's redundant.

Did you have a safe? Sorry this happened to you but as gun owners, I really feel that we need to be responsible and secure our weapons as best we can in the case of a break in, especially when owning multiple firearms. A $500 safe provides enough to deter common thieves.

I hope these can be recovered soon.

                +1

A friend had his house broken into and he has several guns. Only thing the thieves got was the shotgun that was used for Home Defense! Everything else was locked up in a heavy safe.

Wow, sorry to hear you got robbed. What happened? No gun safe? Im sure the members here will keep an eye out, as will I. But you are telling us 2 weeks after it happened. Why did you wait so long? Im not criticizing, as Im sure I would be telling everyone I know about it if it happened to me. First and foremost, look at who knew you had guns. Was anything else stolen?

A safe is a smart thing to invest in. While not 100% secure, it'll secure your firearms from the smash'n'grab thieves. I had to forego buying any more firearms until I bought a safe a few years ago. I'm glad that is out of the way and I have (somewhat) piece of mind when leaving the house. Not many smash'n'grabbers will know how to pull a 550lb safe that is bolted to concrete.

I hope your firearms get returned to you.

Forgot to mention, Remington 23 gun safe. Wish I would've had the one with the key locked combo, I only had the combination safe. They didn't even damage the safe, just cracked the combo and took everything. Only people I can think of that can do that is a good lock smith. When my uncle passed away no one knew his combo on his Liberty safe, the locksmith came out and cracked the combo in 5minutes no tools.

Cracked the combo on your safe?! Holy Cr@p! Ah, sorry to hear that. There is a possibility that someone already knew that you had some nice firearms at your place ...neighbors, maybe "friends" of "friends" that had come over recently, etc... careful, people talk. Hopefully it wasn't someone that was close to you (who might took a good guess at your combo -birthday, anniversary, etc...).
Too bad the punishment is different here in the states. In other places in the world, caught theives lose their hands from the wrist-down.

Trying not to think about the loss too much, everytime I do my blood boils. They took all my wife's diamond necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. My brand new Samsung LCD, PS3, my 5yr olds piggy bank, his Nintendo Wii that he worked so hard for, everthing gone. Too bad in this society crooks who do eventually get caught get next to no punishment thats why they chance it. Just hope my guns are not sold to some thug to go hurt others.

                              rifle

Had a .22 rifle stolen from me when i was 19, ( long time ago ) anyway about a year later the police called me up and said they have my rifle. went down to the police station and when i went to pick up the rifle the cop asked me if i had proof the rifle was mine, Told him the only thing i had was the police report with the S/N on it. Then i told him to remove the butt stock plate had my name and phone # on a piece of paper under it. Gave me my rifle back... still have it today...

But need to update my S/N log of #'s
