  • Robar SR60...?

I'd never heard of the Robar rifles until today. Supposedly they're awesome.. but I can't seem to find pricing (probably not a good thing.. ), or much opinion other than profuse praise by sellers. Anyone handles one of these buggers before?
    Sure is pretty...

They have been around for a long time. They make good rifles and also have good gun finishes. They also make custom 1911s and do grip work on Glocks.

Robar is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality customization, gunsmithing, and metal finishing for your firearm.

Here is the price list. It wasn't hard to find; it was under "Price List" on their website.

The SR90 is a better package with a better stock.

I have an SR-60 (heck, it's my username) and it is indeed a nice rifle. I bought mine back in 1999 and IIRC, the it cost around $2300 back then for just the rifle. It's a very good clone of the USMC M40A1.

Alas, mine has gained safe-queen status and has sat in my safe unfired for all these years. I keep thinking about selling it and everytime I think about it, I keep telling myself that I'll regret it. You see, when I went to the shop to pick a rifle, I took my girlfriend with me. She waited patiently for over 2 hours as I was having trouble deciding between the SR-60, a Sig SSG3000, and another rifle by AWC. She waited two hours and no complaints. Well, I finally settled on the Robar and it dawned on me too, that this girl was the one for me as well. We got married the following year.

My plan was to get into precision shooting, but getting married and starting a family has kinda taken most of my time. These days I settle for a couple of hours at indoor ranges with my pistols or with my shotgun.
