New range in Modesto

Does anybody have the scoop on California Shooting Sports? It is under construction on Prescott and Briggsmore......

This is the first I have heard of it. It will be nice having a range closer than Barnwood Arms in Ripon.

I drove by and it looks like it should be pretty nice. Just wondering who us opening it up...I heard its a former Barnwood or Ronning employee....

I have no facts, l but have heard from 4-6 Calgunners in person that this will be open by the end of the year. It will be tailored to the Tactical crowd, and the range is fairly long, 25+ yards.

It has been "in the works" for some time

I saw this the other day when me and my buddy went and got our annual starbucks (its alright in moderation :P ) Hopefully prics will be decent enough for some broke college kids like me to get a range session in every once in a while.

Alquist in Turlock is also moving to a new facility and putting in a range but who knows when that will be completed

Nice it looks like we are going to have 2 new ranges in the near future for the Modesto/Turlock area.

California Shooting Sports already has theres up.....but theres always Alquist

Good to hear the updates. I shoot at Barnwood and like that there will be alternatives. I had not heard about Alquist. That is great news.

Should be plenty of empty buildings over there,and the area gang members can get in some safe practice.

I may have to check it out, one mid week morning.

Why go to a range? Just drive up to Stockton you can shoot anywhere there

I just went there for the first time this past weekend,(good service)that place is maybe the size of my garage,it was shoulder to shoulder in there,glad they're making money.
They need a bigger place for sure.

Yes it is very tight in there and the crowds they draw dont help much. Though they are very good at what they do and have great prices so i dont mind to much.

Got more info on the new Modesto Range. Called California Shooting Sports, 10 15 yard lanes, number is 209-575-guns.
