Do hollow points ever go on sale?

Do hollow points ever go on sale? To be more specific, 9mm Jacketed Hollow Points. Should I stop waiting and just pick up a box of 50 for ~$17?

I get boxes of 100 Remington 9mm JHP for about $20. That's from Walmart.

They do but not always the caliber you need. 40s&w usually goes cheap if you buy from CDNN. Turners had a sale awhile back. I don't usually see 9mm HP for sale but did get a few 20rnd boxes for $7 at the OC Gunshow. They are PMC Starfire so I'll have to shoot a box and see how they perform.

That sounds like a good price. I'd love to pick up 1,000 for .20 a bullet, but the range I go to doesn't allow hollow points.

Then buy the WWB FMJ. Walmart charges $15.72 for 100.

Last time I checked, the price went back up to $18.42 for 100. I purchased 1,000 WWB FMJ when they were at $15.72 to use at the range.

I wanted a box of 50 or 100 JHP for self defense, but not have to pay a premium like $17 for 50. $20 for 100 seems like a fair price to me. Were the Remington 115 or 124 Grain, and how well do they fire?

                Here's the link

The Remington JHP's are at $24 / 100. Still, not a bad price. If you're looking at getting a different brand, I'd check out the Miwall booths at gunshows. They tend to have quite a selection, tho' it'll be more than the Wal-Mart JHP's.

This may be a little off topic, but what about shooting targets? I have not seen targets cheaper than .25 a sheet. Then again, I don't know where to look!

The indoor range I go to has them for 5 or 6 for a dollar. If you're really desperate, you can print some from online PDF's. That'll bring down the cost per target, but the quality of the paper won't be the same. I think you can get targets on decent paper at the gun shows.

As for targets, I found a site and did a group order w/ a couple of my friends. I think it was totally worth it in the long run. Back on topic!

That is at Wal-Mart's current price, right? Are they 115 Grain or 124 Grain? How about the quality?

They are 115 grain. I fired a few hundred with my CZ-75B, and I had no problems at all. The gun isn't even very dirty.
