ahhh... in that case, oaktree has a short-range that is full of steel targets. i haven't shot there in awhile but it's good practice instead of shooting at paper. angeles has steel on their pistol range that goes from 35-100 yards...

Angeles Pistol range has a lot of steel placed from 35 yards to 100. They have this really cool pole with rotating targets that is pretty fun to shoot. I was playing with it and a Marlin 1894c in 357 mag. My buddy had it spinning real good.

I only go places where I can fool around and shoot things! National Forest areas are the best places to shoot I think. I have shot toilets, TVs, PC, monitors, and other junk. Fun stuff... I hate to pay to shoot at a target shooting range anally run and no fast shooting. (Safety I know) Sure the backwoods may be dangerous you can and probably will run into yahoos but I love it more than urbanic city life...

I heard there is a law in making so you can only go hunting in national forest areas. So no more target shooting out in the boonies. Oh i'd just die if that were to happen! Sure you could carry your hunting license with you but then you'd have to use that expensive tree hugger ammo to even pretend hunting and missing your game animal.... Sheesh commies and tree huggers in this lousy state! I'd rather have my freedom over nice weather.

Shooting some of the items you have shot leave glass and refuse behind. Sounds like you may be contributing to the mess at many of our remaining shooting areas. Pick your targets more carefully next time because even if you work at it, it is impossible to get every piece of glass and porcelain you leave behind when you shoot toilets, TVs, monitors, etc.

Partly in response to the fact that target shooting areas get trashed.

has anyone ever bought the bargain bin packages of meat that they're desperate to get rid of at the supermarket for targets? morbid, i know.

I mean things that do not have a heart beat. Not really into hunting or killing people.

                    We shot a big ~8lb ham with a a 50. I think that's how they make Spam.

We shot a turkey, too. Not quite the same explosion of meat bits.
