New York City has it's own assault weapons laws.
Under the NYC assault weapons laws...
... a semi-auto rimfire rifle with a pistol grip & a collapsible/folding stock = assault weapon.
Therefore, a S&W M&P-15/22 is considered an "assault weapon" under NYC laws.
There are other states that have worst gun laws than CA.sigpic
