    Eye closure problem.

So when I have extended shooting days about 3-5 hours I have a problem keeping my left eye closed. I don't know if anyone has this issue too? I was thinking of just covering my safety glasses with tape or a posti note. Any suggestions? I have tried taking 10 min breaks but seems to be the same or worse. Eye drops no difference.

Could it just be that trying to wink for 3-5 hours is hard on the muscles in your face?

If you absolutely must shoot with only one eye open, either put tape over your glasses, or get some other blocking mechanism. Olympic shooters do this because closing one eye causes extra stress that will affect how they shoot. When the difference between winning and losing can be measured in fractions of an inch, being able to cut out all distractions and just concentrate on the actual act of shooting is very important.

What kind of shooting are you doing? The current school of thought is both eyes open.

Try working wih both eyes open.. Personally I hate it but some swear by it.

Give it a try might work out for you but that is a lot time shooting

Shoot both eyes open - at first it's distracting, but after awhile it becomes natural and you dont even notice, and it has more benefits than just a tired face.
