The great thing is that you can be plinking/ having fun AND learning/getting better at the same time.

To de-stress. To be proficient with my firearms. To achieve a goal, a two-inch group at 20 yards with a Glock's stock trigger.

Edit: I need to work my way up from a 10-yard distance. So it probably takes a decade to get there.

It is the same reason I go hunting. Because I want to.

I go to the range for many different reasons. Load testing/fun shooting/zeroing in hunting rifles/stress relief/bored being home/PICK UP BRASS while shooting/help another person with their rifle or shooting, etc.

Just gives me the ability to relax and have a little fun. Shotting targets and practicing skills is always a good time.

If I'm with a group it's usually for fun and putting a lot of ammo down range. If I'm alone I pick couple of things I want to focus on and work at it but thats also fun, watching yourself get better.

Mostly to have fun and relieve stress. That being said I'm a cheapass so I like to make every round count and practice accuracy, different distances and failure drills.

Unfortunately no. Belonged years ago, but got into training police K9's and let my membership lapse. In retrospect, a big mistake because I'm back into shooting big time.. Shoot mostly at Markley's, not a bad place, nice people but their hours can be kind of short and I don't like lumping all that hardware in a questionable neighborhood of Watsonville in a locked case. Carry a taser, but still.
Trying to find a sponsor for Scotts Valley. Can shoot my long guns there too instead of driving into the mountains to lLos Altos.
                                Regards
