Long Gun Storage

I used the search function and I got a lot of mixed results so I'm sorry if this is repetitive.

So I just got my 03FFL and I'm going to be buying a few C&R rifles. The problem is that I don't have a safe for rifles. Just a small gun vault for my handguns.

I want to make sure I'm following the proper storage rules for rifles. I have a few questions.

1. Do the rifles have to be locked up in a case or have a trigger lock?

2. Can I keep them in a case with no lock?

Let me say that there are no children in the house at all and we dont have children come in the house. It's just me (22) and my dad.

Again I'm sorry. I just know the rifle transport laws but not home storage. I'm planning on buying a safe in a year or so when I get the money to afford one but this is for now.

In the home, there is no requirement. You can be arrested and convicted if a kid gets a gun and hurts himself or someone else. Safes are great, cable locks good but not hard to break. Even a cheap cabinet is better than nothing.

Okay thanks. I want to make them somewhat secure. Do they make trigger locks that are multiple locks with the same key? Like buying a four pack of baggage locks that all use the same key. I like those cause they make my life easier.
