    safe movers in San Francisco?

I need to move a 270 lb safe up two flights of stairs, and ... let's just say I must have eaten an extra bowl of wheaties the day I thought I could get it upstairs with my wife and appliance dolly.

Anyway - does anybody have any recommendations for safe movers local in the city? Or folks to avoid?

(I'm going to go the professional route for liability purposes...)

    cheers,

I'm a mover in the north bay. We have offices in Sausalito and Rohnert Park. Our company is called Sausalito Moving and Storage. We are an agent for Allied Van Lines. Basically most moving companies charge a four hr minimum. I can arrange something on the side if you'd like but that would come with no issurance if thats important to you, you should go through a company. If you decide to go with someone else just stay away from Starving Students, and any company that refuses to give you a PUC number( its the license issued from California showing a company is operating with the insurance's required. Any other questions just PM me I'd be glad to steer you in the right direction
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D) announced. The risk here is that an appeal could lead to an unfavorable Supreme Court ruling, and a legal principle that now applies only to the residents of the nation's capital would extend to the entire nation

Update - wheaties found and eaten; after removing the safe door, my wife and I were able to get the safe up the the third floor in about 15 minutes today with the appliance dolly. One of the reasons I married this gal was for her tenacity.

No scratches in the floor, and just one small ding in the staircase drywall. New safe is happily installed in our office.
