Unrealistic Used Prices? Thread for that??

Is there a thread for that already?
No using names or posting links of course to protect those for selling their used guns and stuff for ridiculous prices

Has anyone noticed how the most prices of anything AR in the used section is full tilt retail?? I'm at loss for words. Why am I going to save maybe a $100 and be out of a warranty buying use? I'd rather spend the extra $100 and get the parts I want and assemble my own.

Some list the prices of what they have in the gun piece by piece like thats's what they're supposed to get back. It's used HELLO! They say 500rd down the pipe but we all know that means closer to 1000k. So frustrating.

1. Yes, I see it all the time. Why do you think the item is there for months with thousands of views with an occasional "PM sent" and no sale?

2. Yeah, the piece by piece thing is funny. Even if it was never fired, you will not get what you put into the firearm.

3. 500 rounds down the pipe or 1000 makes no difference.

I agree. Seeing retail prices on used firearms is a bit silly. I realise that trying to recoup $ spent is reasonable but to recoup every cent is unrealistic. Alternatively, people must be getting severely ripped off by their LGS and their "used" prices reflect the actual price they should have paid.

I look at it as :they can list it for whatever they want. 1) I do(and will) not have to buy it , at least at that price. 2) They may just be fishing and if someone will pay the price they would sell. 3) They are in no hurry to sell or may not really want to sell it. They are not serious about selling.

Bottom line is when they are overpriced I just move on to the next add.

Yeah, about that. Using the google search option for "used gun prices" netted me 5 threads(including this one) on the first page of results.
