I applied to Turners about a month ago, received a pre-interview, phone interview a few weeks ago, and was just called to schedule a sit down interview for tomorrow.
To make a long story short, I have been out of work for some time due to a work injury, I have not worked retail in quite some time and have a general disdain for corporate job life.
This would be a departure from my "normal" line of work (IT management). I think the pay is, to put it mildly, going to suck compared to what I was making.
I was looking at this job as more of a change of pace while getting back into the workforce, a "fun" job. I applied for either management or gun sales. I have a pretty good background of firearms knowledge, and know nothing about fishing. I am old enough and have seen enough to not want to put up with trivial corporate crap.
So to anyone who has worked or known people that have worked there, does this sound like a good idea?
Thanks
