Been shooting plenty of times on friends ranches and there were copious libations. Never had a problem, just a good time. I think if someone is going to cause trouble, they would have with or without alcohol.

The problem with alcohol and guns is the people drinking and shooting, not the drinking or the shooting part, the people part.

I have never been able to accept the ludicrous notions on drinking in America since living in Germany and seeing things from a different perspective. A more rational one that puts personal responsibility back on the person, where it belongs.

Nothing like drinking and partying during Fest Season and then going to school the next morning, the expectation was if you can't handle it your personal responsibility was to not even engage in the activity. The failure and the cost were all on the individuals shoulders and society made sure it stayed there. I was impressed. Also spent most of my time there with a buzz because you can't NOT drink.

Same goes for drinking and driving, drinking and shooting, drinking at work, drinking at school. Yes, we drank at school during lunch, men drank at work. If you had a job where it was an issue YOU were expected to behave accordingly or YOU lost your job.

Never saw one drunk fight in Germany, not one. Just some perspective. The tea-totaler attitudes that pervade here sometimes are good for a chuckle.
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

Full bar at Desert Hills Shooting Club.

The Range 702 is about to open just off the Las Vegas strip and they have a bar built in their VIP room but not sure if it will have booze or just non-alcoholic options. Either way, you obviously will not be able to drink and shoot at these places.

Not smart to drink then drive either, but it is up to the individual to see if they are stupid enough to do so.
Well, I do agree on one thing. If you're going to mix drinking with other activities, you are ultimately responsible for what happens as a result.

On the other hand, not everyone is going to be cross-eyed and falling over drunk after just a couple of beers. It seems like a good policy that anyone who's had a drink can't shoot for the rest of the day (although it probably won't stop people from knocking back a couple before coming into the range, though).

Club I belong to has a small but decent clubhouse with a bar serving beer and wine on public days and for club events. No alcohol allowed outside or on any of the fields/ range.
