Highly Recommended in LA: TJ Johnson for NRA Firearms Instructor training

Just completed a week to get my NRA Firearms Instructor course. It was with TJ Johnson. He is an excellent, exemplary trainer for this course and I highly recommend him. Everybody in the class without exception agrees with this assessment. He knows his stuff, and more importantly he conveys it extremely well, using a student participation approach.

One day he brings in volunteer students and he has each of the prospective instructors teach a segment. Then we all get a chance to coach the students at the range. It's a great environment where everybody does some teaching, sometimes even the volunteer students. (You are encouraged to get your students to participate in the teaching process.)

Anyway, here's TJ Johnson's website about his instructor course:
    Ruger Mark III Hunter (HiViz sights, Bushnell 1x30mm red dot) - Ruger Mark III Target - Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag 10" - 2x Ruger 10/22 - Ruger GP-100 - Ruger Single Six 9.5" - Glock 17 - AA G17 22lr conversion kit - CZ75B - S&W 637 - Taurus 85 - CZ452 - Remington 870 - Marlin 336 - Yugo SKS M59 - Swiss K31 - Russian Mosin Nagant M44 - Russian Mosin Nagant M91

BTW, I don't have anything to do with his class. Just a prospective instructor here. Remember I posted some stuff asking peeps here for business ideas a few months ago. Then later, I posted something else for ideas about business as an instructor.

Anyway, after pursuing this further, I can see how getting an NRA instructor certification is a good thing to do as gun enthusiasts, which everyone here is. Besides, it only costs $140 for 16-hour instructor, so it's a pretty good investment of time and money.

+1 on TJ. I have done several NRA Instructor courses through AllSafe and can recommend him without hesitation for this.

It's good to hear that TJ is still getting great reviews! I took a pistol course with him a few years back and had a great time. I took the course with the thought of purchasing my first handgun (a glock 30) but fell in love with his 1911 and so my love affair with them began. I eventually picked up the Glock 30 as well.

TJ gets a thumbs up from me~

I also want to put in my recommendation for TJ as a great instructor! He is who I recieved my NRA instructor certs through and I will be travelling back to him soon for more NRA certifications.

My only suggestion to him was to actually put some coffee gounds in when he makes what he calls coffee and I call light tea.
