I like the place, but you might have to wait a while, especially if they are busy.
I have had the same experience with Faith Armory. If you go into either during a slow time, you get the best service, but their prices are some of the highest in Riv. County(, an old-timer told me).
Now the best experience I have had was @ Steelwater Firearms, around the corner from Faith, in Temecula(, and the reloading supplies are right by the door, and register so you don't have to walk across the store listening to all the newbs talk and talk if you just need supplies, while you get helped quicker still, standing there.)
You have to remember that sales need to be addressed on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. If it gets the sale, it would be worth it to talk and talk to appease the 1st ones there... even if they are babbling.Last edited by the86d; 09-17-2012, 8:29 AM.Comment

I would give them a mixed review. As mentioned, if they are busy, you may wait awhile.
Also, their prices are not rock bottom.
On the other hand, I have always been treated courteously, and over all enjoyed doing business with them. They handled an out of state purchase (receive and transfer) for me and all went smoothly, though their fee was high.Comment

Has "The Shootist" changed their stance on OLLs? I remember walking in and listening to them belittle a customer when asked about CA legal AR-15's. They replied, "No such thing! All AR's are illegal!" This was before the 08 elections, couldn't help but to give an OMFG under my breath and walked out.Originally posted by Colonel David Crockett"Ya'll can go to hell, I'm goin' to Texas!"

It's neither here nor there - depends on who is helping you, I guess. I've only done a PPT there and the guys doing the paperwork on a Saturday were great (and it was $35 - maybe the $5 storage thing is a new thing - I did mine 3 month ago +/-), but when I went back to pick it up and asked to see a Hi-Power they had just got through polishing, I kinda got a sigh from the..."customer service rep" doing the polishing.
Probably wouldn't give them anymore than the $35 for a PPT based on the attitudes I got when I went back. Prices seemed a bit high as well.
Seems to be another group/establishment that just doesn't get the free market/customer service correlation.I know I'm gonna get got, but I'm going to get mine more than I get got though.Originally posted by Enfield47I'm rooting for the allied team, I think we won last time but I can't remember. I just remember it was a lot of fun.

ive bought a pistol and done a couple PPTs there. i would normally give it a 7 out of ten, but the last time i was there kinda bugged me. i went with a friend when he was PPTing his first gun, a shotgun; maybe they were just feeling lazy that day, but they suggested that he just do a cash and carry because its a long gun. yeah i get it, no one would really know and its a ridiculous law anyway, but its still law and a gun shop of all places should not be advocates of breaking the laws... as far as their stance on OLLs, they sell complete ARS and stripped lowers. their stripped lowers arent badly priced either...sigpicComment

I would rather go to Turners and deal with the FUD, instead of being ignored at The Shootist.
My buddy was in there once when they had a N/D in the store. He said it was pretty exhilarating...Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."
