    BudsGunShop Issue, help appreciated

    I have a little problem. I have a account on budsgunshop and yesterday my mom used it to order a Beretta 92a1. Now the account is in my name, but my mom used her credit card, and her her billing address to buy it (both of which have her name on it). In the comments box she put "transfer to (her name)".

    So today I get a email from bud's saying:

    "Due to an issue with your order we need to speak with you.

    We cannot put another persons name on the order."


    There is no way I can go pick up this gun because I'm at college 800 miles away in California, my parents are in Arizona. I told my mom to just call them on Monday and tell them that she bought the gun through her son's account because she was unfamiliar with the process of buying through buds, and have them put her name on the shipping label because she used her info to buy it anyways.

    I really don't want to have to tell her to reorder it because buds charges a 10% restocking fee, and they changed the price to 571 from 545 literally 2 minutes after she started buying it.

      They might ask her to fax photo I'd with credit card used. Same thing happened to me on another site (not gun related).

        could she just email them photo ID with the credit card used?

              why would you NOT call and try to sort this out? I know so much in today's world is done with emails and the sort, but nothing beats picking up the phone and calling someone to help ensure you're all on the same page when it comes to a discrepancy on an order

              so yeah, even 800 miles away, you should still call and find out what needs to be done, first hand, so that when your moms purchase arrives to the FFL there are no problems...good luck, hope it doesn't get too complicated for you

              btw, I think that's pretty cool, moms deciding to buy a Beretta; I love Beretta

                I can't call right now because buds isn't open until Monday. I sent them this:

                This an inquiry into "Due to an issue with your order we need to speak with you. We cannot put another person's name on your order". I feel like I should clear something up.

                My mother used my account to order the Beretta 92a1 because she was unfamiliar buds and wanted to use my existing account. She used her own credit card, and entered a separate billing address (WITH HER LEGAL NAME attached to both).

                The issue appears to be because she wrote "transfer to MOMS NAME" in the comments. This is because the account is in my name, and she wants Quentin Defense to know the gun is for her (there wasn't an option to change the name on the shipping label). I'm not buying the gun for my mom, she's just used my account to buy her gun. Can you guys change the name on the shipping label to MOMS NAME? Thanks.

                I will probably call them on Monday, and my mother will too to clear up this whole issue.

                  yes, nice reply, follow it up on Monday with the call...hopefully it won't be too difficult to work out, sounds like it all comes down to Bud's and whatever policy they may have about ordering a firearm on someone else's account...worst call scenario, she may have to re-order under her own account/name

                  keep us posted on how it pans out, it would be nice to know Bud's policy in advance, in case this ever becomes an issue...i have an account with Bud's, but my son doesn't, and he is into buying firearms too

                      UPDATE

                      So today my mom called Buds and told them that she ordered the Beretta 92a1 on her son's account. They created a new account for her, and transferred the order to that account.

                      Originally she bought the gun for $588 (+the 3% credit card fee). They knocked the price of the gun down to the $571 cash discount price for her. Overall I want to say I'm pretty happy with how Buds handled the situation.
