Which 6920 to get?

Need some opinions. Don't know why but I've always wanted a plain Jane Colt M4, with the contoured handguard and the A2 handle so I finally got around to stepping into Turner's to buy one but by then they were out. I laid down a deposit for a restock but suddenly I'm thinking that waiting is unnecessary, especially when the 6920PD and the 6940 are on the shelf just waiting for me to DROS them. Would you guys bother waiting for Turner's to restock or would you get one of the other guns? I think the 6940 is a bit much price wise, and the permanent rail is a turn-off to me. I'm guessing if I really wanted to I could take the 6920 PD, put the carrying handle and contoured handguard and leave it at that? If not, just how long does it take to restock these guns anyway? Your thoughts on the matter are appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I will however contradict myself and say don't wait too long. It seems the closer we get to November the faster things are flying off the rack. The prices on everything are slowly creeping north, ask turners to order the rifle you want for you. I'm sure they would do this and would be able to give some form of eta.

I don't believe it. I went on a whim to meet up with some friends at Turner's about a half hour before closing. After introducing my friends to Dan I started eyeing the shelves and saw the 6920 sitting on the shelf! I asked Dan why he didn't call me and he said that they must've just put it out this afternoon. After talking with the Managers they told me that they hadn't restocked, rather some guy failed his DROS so they broke it out of the box this afternoon and put it out. I was so goddamn happy I DROS'd the gun right away. Sucks for that other dude but hooray for me! This will be a loooong 10 days....
