    Good site for general earplugginess:

I've ordered a few times from them (motorcycling earplugs), never had a problem. fast shipping, cheap prices, good selection, etc.

I picked up a pair at the Reno gun show last year for $50, they work well. Nice lady, she's usually in the first room on the back wall.

Seen a fair number of reccomendations for the custom fitted ear plugs you commonly find at gun shows.

Lets pretend that you live in an area where the gun shows are infrequent and suck, and you want a good, reusable in-ear plug that you can buy at a gun/sports/hardware store. And hopefully for less than $50/75.

What's the best suggestion for that?

For simple, disposable ear plugs, I haven't found anything more effective than the putty/gel that you can find in your local drug store.
