DOJ back logged???

I recently went to Turners with my friend to help him pick out a gun. This man has a clean record and is authorized to live in this state and country.

He picked out a Glock 19 and we did the paperwork. I helped him fill it out and everything was perfect.

So pick up date is tomorrow 9-11-12. He gets a call today saying he will not be able to pick up the gun because DOJ has a back log????? I drosed a gun the same day at another store and I have not received a call about DOJ being backed logged.

Has anyone else who is picking up receive this kind of excuse recently? This is Turners Pasadena.

There was one time when I bought a gun at the Turners in Pasadena when I had to wait an extra 45 minutes to pick up (10 days) because they screwed up entering my dros.

DOJ could be getting hit with budget cuts also. IDK. I know CDCR is.

That sounds fishy. I personally don't trust anything that the Turners' guys say. I've been given Conflicting and incorrect information from every turners store I've been to.
The person either doesn't know what he's talking about, or he screwed up the dros.
Or, I'm missing something and the Doj is really backed up.

I am picking up my 3rd pistol on Friday. It will be my third in the last fours weeks with no delays on any of the ten day waits.

Yeah, I'm thinking "clerical error on part of Turners" = "It was DOJs fault."

Something isn't right. It's been a long time since I worked for an FFL, but they don't get a "ok" notification on every gun sold. Just a "hold" or "delay" or "denied" notice if there is a problem.

Contact the manager. If they still blame DOJ, then give them a phone call and find out what is wrong.

Last week when i went turners to pick up my newest guns, the guy showed me two fully stuffed manilla folders that were sitting on the long gun rack and said that those were all the pick up todays, so it could be possible they are super busy with all the gun buys.
