Another shooting- Is this ammo for liberals

What the hell, are the psychos coming out this week. I think this makes three in few days.

Look at the history of civil rights movements in America - from African American to gay etc. - if history teaches us anything, it's don't let your "cause" become marginalized or driven into the shadows. "Burying guns" in case the laws shift is just the type of marginalization we don't need.

            I've got some better suggestions:

            1. Register to vote, and vote in every election. The government tracks voting participation but obviously not who you vote for. So vote whether you are liberal democrat except you like guns or whether you are far right republican.

            2. Join the NRA and participate in their letter/email writing campaigns.

            3. Support candidates who are pro-gun. Ask candidates who are anti-gun to reconsider their positions (ask politely). Most candidates don't have hard and fast positions, they have positions based on the math of votes gained and votes lost. Some pro-Second Amendment candidates may not be able to be vocal in support, but have good voting records.

            4. Stand up for firearms for self-defense instead of hunting. The "big lie" is that firearms are for hunting, primarily, when historically they have been for wars, police, or self defense. Those of us who believe self defense is THE core Second Amendment right need to stand up for that by articulating our position. Our constant refrain, when shooting incidents like this happen, is that MORE RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS NEED TO BE CARRYING CONCEALED. I am going to train my children how to use guns for self defense and hopefully we will either be in a "must issue" state by then or we will have regained the rights we have allowed to slip away from us in California - by taking the "burying guns in the backyard" position that marginalizes us.

Yes, I know you were joking, but anti-gun activists harvest comments like that and republish them on their anti-gun sites. Will they republish this comment to go with it? I don't think so. Taking out of context is a favorite attack technique.
How come the Court has expanded other Bill of Rights clauses, but failed to even defend the Second Amendment?
