Vacaville wal mart FUD on Ammo

Just a heads up to those of you who purchase ammo at our local Vacaville walmart.

I was in there to purchase some 30-30 and 9mm. The guy who opened the ammo cabinet stated

"we are supposed to be limitting people to 2 boxes of ammo"

I explained to him it must be a new store policy because there is no law about limiting ammo sales.

    He just shrugged his shoulders.

Maybe someone has a little more insight on this.

But just looking out for my fellow Vacaville shooters.

It depends on the store and employees, most walmart have a sign stating that they can limit the amount of ammo one person can buy. Try a different person

Sounds like it's not FUD, just store policy.

I've bought ammo there before and the salesperson did not place a limit on my purchase. I think it does depend on the individual employee. The only limitation sign I have seen at Walmart is the sign stating the hours of the sale of ammunition.

There is no limit when I bought from there. My buddy and I bought a several boxes before we went to centermass.

During the first Obama ammo scare, many stores were setting a limit of six boxes. Just a store policy, not law.

In either case, it's not FUD. It's just misinformation. An example of FUD would be, "We limit ammo sales to 2 boxes because a riot is coming and we need to ensure all customers get some ammo."
