Mateba in "Looper"

New film "Looper" displays use of a Mateba - plenty of other great guns (from the trailer there was a PS90, a Smith Model 29, others). Looks like it might be something original out of Hollywood for a change.

While it's cool they used a Mateba (which reminds me of Bladerunner's use of the Cop-4) the Mateba depicted appears to be a crudely done prop of molded-rubber gun just by looking at how the barrel fits into the receiver just before the crane, as well as how it ramps up to the receiver; and it doesn't have the "sectional" look and side utilities a real Mateba would have - but cool none-the-less.

Looks like it might be a good firearm film.

I've been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I saw the trailer before The Expendibles 2. Good to hear there are some interesting firearms in it.
I like how Bruce Willis has done a lot of Sci-Fi movies in addition to the typical action star movie stuff.

I saw that preview at the gym... After it said, "in the future, the mafia controls time travel." I just put my ear phones back on and rolled my eyes.
Another great and dumbed down script from the awesome writers of holliwood.
You know what is killing the movie industry? It isnt internet piracy. Here's a hint, go watch Battleship for example.

Maybe. Most currently do. Lots of re-tread, re-makes, and repeat ideas.

But if this flick shoudl fail you, I suspect "Cloud Atlas" will be very redeeming for the sci-fi genre. Check out the trailer when you get a chance.

I think it looks interesting. I will probably be let down when I go see it though. The last good "shoot em up" movie I saw in the theaters was Street Kings and that was over four years ago...
