Not sure why this is in the gun section but I cut them in half to use as a face wrap. way to big for that and usually too hot to wear the whole damn thing. Pretty mall ninja so I only use them if I'm following vehicles that make a lot of dust.

I use them the same ways that Iraqis and Afghans do. Inclement weather as a gaiter and or hood and for dusty environments to spare my respiratory system. Dirty looks from Arabs and other haters is an added bonus.

I know how to wrap them, but wearing a mich or CVC, I'm not going to wrap it around my head I just wanted something to keep from breathing dust so instead of having this massive chunk of cloth, I cut it with my tactical MRE opener

I wear one when I am out hiking, camping, and any other place where I will be out in the sun for a great length of time.Keeps the sun from beating down on my neck. I like them. I never cut them, they can be a little warm but not unbearable and it beats the nasty sun burn I would suffer without one, especially since I hate sunscreen. A hat and a shemagh around the neck and your good to go.

It's a nice warm scarf in the wintertime, and keeps the dust out of your shirt and the sun off your neck in the summer time. I don't use it as a head wrap (wouldn't know how to, anyway).

I use one too. Wrap my rifle in it, put it over my head (and my neck and shoulders) in the desert, warm or cold.
