Status: M&J Gun Trade Downtown Sac

Back in late June M&J Gun Trade was opening in downtown Sac, 24th and J if I remember correctly. At the time there was a bit of controversy from exisiting businesses in the area but I never heard a resolution. Last week I was in Sac on business and went by to show support and spend some money but all I found was a locked door and blacked out windows. Will this shop ever open or was it forced out of the neighborhood? If so its very bad for our cause.

Anyone with any information on the status of this shop?

I was hoping that someone had heard about the latest status on this store opening.

Is that the old Sacramento armory was? Too bad pink pistols other rainbow warriors are too high on dope ti understand the 2nd amendment protects the first . anytime Im walking the streets down there i thank cgf and the new sheriffs for my ltc as if some bum or hip hop ho thinks they can shank me and run away they are sadly mistaken .

Since the gay factor is so powerful downtown the pink pistols should be an advocate for a store there .

By my memory (sometimes reliable ) it's across the street and down a couple of blocks from where the Old Sac Armory was.

Googling "M&J gun trade sacramento" brings up this thread, along with a slew of news threads talking about opposition to it being opened, and city council dragging their feet on giving them their permits.

                  Is it M&J or J&G?
Or is this 2 different stores?
They sound as though they are the same from this thread in the old Cornerstone location.

By the way there is a gathering of Calgunners for a Saturday shoot in Sac this weekend.

It's finally open now. 3 blocks from my office, so I thought I'd check it out on my break.

Compared to River City Gun Exchange.... It can't.

Next to no selection. Extremely expensive guns and ammo.

$6.50 for 20rounds of 7.62x39! $2 more than Sportsmans Warehouse in Rocklin.
$589 for a new glock 19! $90 more than The Gun Range off Watt, $50 more than RCGE.

I looked past the guy wearing a tacticool jacket inside (it was kinda stuffy and warm, and i was in a t-shirt), and the other employee / friend sitting there looking very unfriendly.

I went back to work early.

Great Lil place to go into for new gun owners. Guys there are very friendly and helpful! They sell lots of stuff on consignment and come across some really cool stuff.

Was there back in Feb for a PPT. Very friendly, too bad it was during the panic - they had barely any stock for firearms. I've checked out their FB page and they seem to be assembling a good stock of firearms. A bit more expensive compared to RCGE and other established stores. Just need more local support!

They had a deagle on consignment last time I stopped by! Lots of shotguns too. I need to drop by again.
