Me too. I keep hinting around to family members about how scarce and expensive they are getting and how walmart has them for the lowlow price of $160...No biters yet

Bought a can this morning at the Oceanside Walmart at the 78 and 5. The bullets are green tipped, 62 grain, FMJ, and the cartridges are boxed and in stripper clips. There is a magazine loading tool or "spoon" in the ammo can as well. This is not a tin you open with a can opener, this is an reclosable ammo can. Link to item on Walmart.com. My price was $164 plus tax. There were none behind glass, but when I asked the worker said he had one under the counter.

According to WalMart's website the Salinas, Modesto, and Turlock stores have some too. Too bad none in the Bay Area have any.

I called the wall Mart in San Clemente and the guy said he would have some tomorrow.
The laguna niguel store said they would have some in two weeks.
I may stake out the San Clemente store tomorrow, but I'm hesitant because I've gotten some of the worst service and incorrect info from Walmart employees.

Last year this woulda been not so good a price, this year its excellent. Natchez Shooters Supply wants 178 for a can +shipping of at least 40 bucks. I just picked up 2 cans yesterday. Natchez is the only online retailer that even has them in stock.

Anyone else notice ar15 accessories for sale at Walmart? The one near me had ar pistol grips, rails, bipods etc. I was surprised to see all that at Walmart....maybe they'll start selling uppers!

Well, I took my chances today and made the drive down to the san Clemente Walmart on the word that they would have stock today of the federal ammo can. I left my home in mission viejo at about 12 pm. That was a bad idea because the traffic towards the beach on this Holliday weekend was horrible. We stopped for lunch at the chipotle down the street. It was good.
My wife and I then proceeded to enter the Walmart. I would have bolted directly for the sporting goods section but my wife wanted to stop to look at jewelry. My anticipation and anxiety has been building, because it seems like there's been so many obstacles for me today. She didn't see anything she wanted in that section. Good, now to the bullets. We continue walking to the back corner of the store, when my wife wants to look at candles. Crap.
So I finally get the ammo counter. I didn't see an ammo cans out. I asked the lady if they had any, and to my surprise, she said yes!
I asked If this is a regular stock item., and she said lately, yes. They had about 5 in stock.

That was my Walmart journey today. It came out to about $174 after tax for the ammo can.

Does anyone know why ever Walmart only have 3 or 4 cans?

And if this is a limited thing seasonal or what they are going to carry now?
